- Kalyana Champlain (aka 5th elament)is a writer, femcee, and spoken word artist. In her art she focuses on the waking up of consciousness, themes of personal journey, and the idea of interconnectedness. It was her discovery of Nichiren Buddhism that aided her on her own journey through addiction. It is this journey that has made her want to fight for all those who "have forgotton their inherent worth." Her work is meant to call the spirit to a higher place, remind the soul to open up, and show what can happen with a change in just one individual. Describing herself as an "8 diagrams in the world of crunk," she has referred to herself as an "Iron Rose" (and later adding LotusPrime)--a metaphor representing her newly forged attributes of persistence, perseverence, and personal growth.
